Giving God the Right place in our life.

In our busy and routine life, spending time with God or even praying the Two Minute Noodle prayer is so very difficult, far away is reading the Holy Word or meditating on it. We have so many worldly priorities and responsibilities to cater to viz. spouse, kids, jobs and due to this we end up only running around meeting our deadlines or tasks to be completed. Our to do list is endless while our life is aimless. We actually don’t live, we just exist as machines trying to finish the task assigned to us. We end up thinking that life is reduced to mere darkness, a mess, confusing and this raises thoughts in our hearts like, “I'm not sure what's happening anymore,” and “When will this end?” But is this what we have been created for? Surely not. We have been created with a divine purpose and our life has to be purpose driven. The key to drive our life is - Jesus Christ and the Cross. The moment we realize this truth, our life gets transformed  from a mess into a message and all confu...

“God Moves in a Mysterious Way”

“ God Moves in a Mysterious Way ” William Cowper, 1774 God moves in a mysterious way His wonders to perform; He plants his footsteps in the sea, And rides upon the storm. Deep in unfathomable mines Of never failing skill, He treasures up his bright designs And works his sovereign will. Ye fearful saints, fresh courage take, The clouds ye so much dread Are big with mercy, and shall break In blessings on your head. Judge not the lord by feeble sense, But trust him for his grace; Behind a frowning providence He hides a smiling face. His purpose will ripen fast, Unfolding every hour; The bud may have bitter taste, But sweet will be the flower. Blind unbelief is sure to err, And scan his work in vain: God is his own interpreter, And He will make it plain.

How do I have a Quiet Time ?

“Oh how I love your law! It is my meditation all the day.”  Psalm 119:97 How do I have a Quiet Time?  God speaks to us through the Bible, which is his Word in written form.  Through the words of the Bible, we learn who God is and what he asks  of us. However, if we do not invest time in knowing God’s Word, we  will be ignorant of who God is and what he has to say about our lives.  Author and Pastor Adrian Rogers gave the following helpful tips for  spending quiet time with God each day. He gives five factors: Period,  Preparation, Place, Provisions, and Procedure.  The Proper Period  You must find the right time. Your quiet time should last at least half  an hour. But some time is better than no time, so if you can’t start at  thirty minutes, begin with ten. It should be your very best time. Don’t  give the Lord your leftovers. And don’t try to find time - make time,  and make it a priority. The key here is qual...
