GRACE

GRACE   “With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus and MUCH GRACE was with them all” (Acts4 : 33).   “From Attalia they sailed back to Antioch where they had been  COMMITTED TO THE GRACE OF GOD  for the work they had now completed” (Acts14 : 26). Why was the grace of God so important in the experience of the early Christians? Why did the church in Antioch pray that the GRACE of God would be upon Paul and Barnabas and later on Paul and Silas, as they set out on their missionary journeys?   A. THE MEANING OF GRACE   The most common understanding of the word “grace” is “God’s unmerited favor” in other words, even though we were sinners deserving of judgement God looked upon us in And forgave us.   This however is only half its meaning. It also means “God enabling power”. “May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God  our Father who loved us and by ...

FAITH

FAITH   Faith has always been the mark of a disciple of Jesus. The early disciples were knows as BELIEVERS. Jesus said: “Everything is possible for him who believes” (Mark9 : 23).   Faith means total dependence on God. When Adam sinned, he stepped out of God-dependence into in-dependence (which is unbelief). This is the reason God has placed such a high priority on faith. Faith is the way we come back into relationship with God (God-dependence). This dependence on God is called faith. Faith advances you beyond your five senses of seeing, hearing, tasting, smelling and touching. Faith releases you from your limited capacities. By faith you move from in-ability to His – ability. This is the walk of faith to which all of us are called – where “nothing is impossible” (Matt 17 : 20 ).   A. WHAT IS FAITH   Faith is obedient action in response to what God has said. True faith is expressed in : 1)       ...

Testimony

I gave up on  cycling after I had fall from it in my childhood days. However  always used to envy women behind wheels driving 4 wheeler &  2 wheeler  & always wished  to drive and/ or ride a vehicle.  When we shifted to our new home in Thane, God blessed us with a 4 wheeler and 2 wheeler.  With great effort and struggle I learned to drive 2 wheeler and 4 wheeler but always had a unknown fear gripping me when I used to drive or ride.  I never enjoyed driving so even after getting the license did not pursue it further.  However  I was always encouraged by verse Philippians 4:13 (I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me) & 2 Timothy 1:7 (for God has not given us a spirit of fear & timidity, but of power, love and self-control) and I very well knew that in all my weakness Jesus is my strength. My  faith in JESUS was to put to test when I had to drive my kids every week to my blessed church, I pursued...

The Undo Option

God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God  (2 Corinthians 5:21) . One thing I love about writing on a computer is if I make a mistake, or decide to write something different, I can easily click undo and start again. Writing with paper and pen is different. If I don’t like what I have written, there is no undo button to click. It is stuck on the paper. In life, we all make mistakes, and we can look back and wish we had made different choices. But life is not like typing on a computer. Just like writing with pen, there is no undo option in life. The good news is that God has a different kind of Undo Option. We can’t remove our bad record, but on the cross, Jesus took the punishment for it. He gave us his clean record so we can be considered righteous. Looking back at our lives and the bad things we have done, we can wonder if God can love us, if he can forgive us. But Jesus has paid for our sins. You may not be able ...

WHAT IS FAITH?

WHAT IS FAITH? The  Bible  defines faith this way: "Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen" Hebrews 11:1 In a world primarily dependent on the scientific method, where all facts must be tested and retested using observable, measurable evidence and empirical data, to claim that something as intangible as faith counts for both substance and evidence sounds ridiculous. But that, at its core, is faith.

5 Doors

Rev 3:20 :  Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. 1.      Door of sin   – Gen 4:7 ( If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin lies at the door. And its desire is for you, but you should rule over it.”) ,  Ps 51 talks about sin, Rom 3:23 ( 23  for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God),  & 6:23( For the wages of sin  is death)  – Lord has given us free will and freedom of choice, Lord does not force. Trust & Obey - Life in Jesus Ministries

“.. Whoever believes in him will not be disappointed.” (Romans 10:11) This is the beautiful promise that the scriptures offer. Trusting and believing God is very important. If you have the faith that He can do wonderful miracles for you, He surely will. He will never let you down or put you to shame willingly, because of His constant love for you. Pray about all your worries and have faith that all your woes and disappointments have already lost their power over your life. God will always try to lift you up only if you trust and obey him. Don’t let your sins be an obstacle for receiving God’s mercies. If you sin, immediately and cry to the Lord for granting you forgiveness through his grace. Never sin knowingly because surely the Lord hates sin, but never the sinner. Know the fact that Jesus is only Way, Truth and Life. Believe in this and ask Him to direct, control and guide you towards victory. Believe that he has already fulfilled your heart’s desire. He never disappoints those ...
