All things.

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. -Romans 8:28

There are times in our life when we think that we've messed up God's purpose in our life by our wrong decisions and we try to do things in our own way, without knowing that God can use our mess as a ingredient which is required to serve His purpose if we turn towards him and embrace his mercy for our life. No matter what life throws at us, Good things or bad things, problems or sickness, tough situations or heartbreak; if we keep on going back to God, looking for his mercy and love, then God uses all those things to take us to His greater purpose that He has for us. If we look at the story of Joseph, we see that he's been constantly tossed between awful situations and greivous circumstances and years are passing without a sign of fulfillment of God's purpose for him. Somehow the enemy's tactics intended for Joseph are coming to pass but Genesis 50:20 unfolds something different, Joseph said : You meant evil against me, But God meant it for Good. Your current state might not look like what God promised in the bible and your sufferings might mock you again and again and you can't see any possibility of the fulfillment of His promises for you in this practical world. Just remember Romans 8:28 and be fully convinced that God is using all these things to serve the purpose which God has in store for us and we live by faith and not by sight so never doubt God's promises just because you can't see them unfolding. For all things, (not just good things but bad things too) work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. The cross of the calvary is the most prominent example of this, God used something that kills and turned it to something that saves to fulfill which He spoke through his prophets. So carry your cross daily for it will lead you to God's purpose for your life.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father,
Thank you for your promise that you're using everything that I am going through to get me to your purpose which you've pre ordained in my life. Let your spirit be with me through this process. In Jesus' name.
Amen.
