Be Faithful in the Sheep pen

And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men. -Colossians 3:23.

God's purpose will find you in the place of your Current assignment. Let's look at the life of David, it was David's faithfulness in the sheep pens that prepared him to shepherd the nation of Israel. God chose David and took him from the sheep pens(Psalms 78:70). Now the Sheep pen was a place of David's current assignment, He had a promise to become a king but he never despised his current assignment. But he remained Faithful where God has planted him and whatever he did, he did it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, singing Psalms to God, delighting himself in the Lord and encouraging himself daily in the Lord. Your current state might not look like the thing which God has promised and it might just look like the opposite of the Good life which you've desired from the Lord but our Good good father works in mysterious ways. Who can ever imagine that the Son of a Carpenter from a small town called Nazareth would be the Savior of the world, and God would choose someone from a sheep pen who is despised by his own brothers, short in stature, a little guy(Read 1 Samuel 16:7) who contradicts the most basic qualifications required to be a king. Be Faithful where you're planted and work at it with all might, even if it's the smallest of the work and no one's even noticing you, just remember Colossians 3:23. Your sheep pen can be your workplace, your academics, your daily grind, your commitment towards the Lord, or a situation. Don't keep coveting Higher position, instead be faithful where you're planted and God will lift you up from your sheep pens and will place you in his purpose. *He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and He who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much.(Luke 16:10).*

Prayer:

Heavenly Father,
Give me your Grace and strength that is required to be faithful where you've planted me for I cannot do this on my own, I need you. Thank you for your words.
In the name of Jesus'
Amen.
