The Winds of Adversity


But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. -1 Peter 5:10


There are times in our lives when we are fed up of our current state and lift up those things which trouble us in prayer and ask God to change the things without understanding that God is using those things to shape our character and to prepare us for the things that we are praying for. The winds of adversity makes us realize the need for God in our lives. After we've suffered a while; God will perfect our holiness in the fear of God, Establish us upon his Word and in the World to Glorify his name, strengthen us to fight the good fight of faith by giving us the strength to withstand the winds of adversity, and settle our lives to be pleasing to the Lord. Learn to dance in the winds of the adversity and let the Spirit do his perfect work in you. For the sufferings of the present time are not worthy to be compared to the glory that would be revealed in us. When you involve God in your circumstances, God takes over. We call our God as the Most High for a reason, Because there's nothing above Him. Even if you're enemy(spiritual or carnal) is messing with your mind, know that Romans 8:28 is still in work and the results will be in your Favor. For we serve a God who is above all things and he is preparing us to be a king in our lives. Certainly the training to handle the sword of the Spirit which has been given to us will be difficult, but you're trained in these winds of adversity. Possesing a weapon is one thing and using it to slay the Giant is another. Exercise your Kingship and also humble yourself under the mighty hand of God. Both works together.


Prayer:

Heavenly Father,
Thank you that you're preparing me for the things that I am praying for. Let the winds of the adversity strengthen me to handle your blessings and give me the grace to praise you in this storm of life.
In Jesus' name.
Amen
