Be Silent!

Daily Word

Even fools are thought wise when they keep silent; with their mouths shut, they seem intelligent.

-Proverbs 17:28

Sometimes it's better to be silent than to open our mouths in unbelief. God told the Children of Israel to march
 around the Wall of Jericho silently without saying a word for 6 days because God knew that if one of the Israelite would have opened their mouth in doubt and disbelief, the wall of Jericho would have never collapsed. Even it happened with Zacharias
But behold , you will be mute and not able to speak until the day these things take place , because you did not believe my words which will be fulfilled in their own time."
-Luke 1:20
Because If Zacharias would have spoken doubt or disbelief, John the Baptist would have never been Born. Have you ever wondered how many blessings you have delayed and stopped because of your foolish confessions and vain talks ! Be still and know that he is God.

He who restrains his words has knowledge, And he who has a cool spirit is a man of understanding. -Proverbs 17:27

What if I told you that some of the troubles that you are going through are invited by none other than you.He who guards his mouth and his tongue, Guards his soul from troubles(Ecclesiastes. 3:7).

I am not saying that we should be silent at all times, But we should be considerate in speaking that our words should be filled with Grace, Faith and Wisdom, Always Worshipping and exalting the Lord and trusting his plans by simply saying "Thy will be done". Because sometimes we follow the train of Good confession, for an example : if we want an vehicle , we'll keep on confessing "let me get an bike in Jesus' name bla bla", And due to his Goodness he gives us. But if we would have said "Thy will be done" Daddy would have given us a Car.(Refer Isaiah 55:8-9)
That shows that we have more faith in our thoughts than his. So it's better to have faith in his thoughts.

Open your mouth in Praise and Worship, Especially in Prayer and once you've prayed, don't let the flesh speak anything that contradicts your prayer, Jesus prayed an intense prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane and submitted himself to God's will and then he didn't opened his mouth against his Father. As it is written in Isaiah 53:7 He was oppressed and He was afflicted, Yet He opened not His mouth;  He was led as a lamb to the slaughter, And as a sheep before its shearers is silent, So He opened not His mouth.

Silence can never be misquoted and it can be the most Powerful scream.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father,
Teach me to be Considerate and Silent in Baffling situations, Make me more like you and don't let any negative words or Disbelief proceed out of my mouth, I repent for the times when I've blocked my blessings by speaking disbelief from my Mouth, Thank you for your word.
