Though He was a Son , yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered. -Hebrews 5:8


Majority of the obstacles which we face in our day to day lives is because of our lack of obedience towards God. Sometimes when we choose our own plans and try to do things in our own way we suffer defeat and shame. Not one time but everytime whenever we bypass the word of God and disobey him. Eventually we come to a point where we understand that the only good and better way in which there are no regrets or mistakes is the Way of God which can be unlocked by an simple act of Obedience and everything that we'll try to do by ourself in our own ways will fail.

As it's written in Hebrews, Jesus learned Obedience by the things which he suffered. You're suffering is a process through which you are learning obedience towards God. And immediately the next verse illuminates the Glory behind the obedience.
And having been perfected , He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him.
-Hebrews 5:9
Jesus was being perfected by the Obedience which he practiced towards his Daddy. The same implies for us. Also, he became the author of Eternal salvation to all who obey him. If we aren't obeying Jesus how can we taste the eternal salvation as the word clearly describes "to all who obey him". Obeying the Word of God and all that is written in it not only covers our big decisions but also our day to day small actions. Ask yourself "Is your speech seasoned with Grace?", "are you walking worthy of the Lord?", "Are you Living the word daily?".


The bible has a long list of the woes and punishments upon the sons of Disobedience. But because of the Saving Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ we don't face the heat of the hell fire as it always gives us a chance to turn our ways from wickedness and enter into the Obedience of God.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, Help me to be Obedient towards your Word. Give me the grace through sufferings and refine me towards Perfection of Christ so that I may learn Obedience. I repent of every Disobedience which I have practiced. Thank you for your word.
