Like a Child!

Assuredly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it. -Mark 10:15


Qualities of a little child


1) Submissive and dependent.

A little child is submissive and dependent on his father for his daily needs. With a stubborn heart he keeps on asking his father for the things he want yet he is too innocent to trust the world and to let go off Daddy's finger. He keeps holding his father's hand wherever he goes because he trusts his Father's protection much more than his own sense of direction. If we address our God as "Father", then its important for us to behave like His children. In John 13:33 Jesus calls his disciples as Little children, not just children but little Children. Because little Children are not at all confident about their will and plans but their Confidence is in the Father's Will and Plan.

2) Obedience without Questioning.

A child will believe anything that his father will say, from Superhero stories to Fairy tales without implying any doubts or logic to his Father's word. God wants us to believe his word regardless of what the World says no matter how illogical it sounds. When Jericho wall was an obstacle to the nation of Israel, God told them to march around the wall 7 times, Israel expected that God will command thunder and lightening to let the wall fall down but regardless of how illogical the command was, when Israel obeyed their Father's word, the wall collapsed down. God wants us to be dependent on his word with Obedience and Humbleness  just like a little child without considering the odds and the impossibilites.

3) Faith that moves Mountains.

Jesus loved the little children so much because they didn't had any opinions or views about their self and their faith wasn't dependent on logic or past experiences but solely upon their Father's word. Without faith it is impossible to please God(Hebrews 11:6) . If you'll ask an adult to move the mountain with his faith, he'll teach you practicality and scorn you for your foolishness. But a child will try to move that mountain with his little faith as a mustard seed. God requires that type of faith because moving mountain is God's job but to exercise faith is our job.

See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called Children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him. (1John 3:1)

Prayer :

Father, I come before you as a little child, help my unbelief, hold my hands to lead me and guide me in all of my ways. Help me to exercise Simplicity and Humbleness like a little child. Thank you for your word and your ways
